About Jord

I’m Jord Hammond, a travel and documentary photographer from the UK.

I’ve spent more than a decade living, travelling and photographing across Asia, focusing on the people, places and smaller moments that give somewhere its character. My work spans Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Middle East, including Vietnam, Indonesia, Nepal, Bhutan and Oman.

I lead small-group photography workshops across Asia and beyond, built around the places and subjects I genuinely enjoy photographing. The focus is on street, documentary, cultural and environmental portraiture rather than simply ticking off well-known viewpoints.

My personal work has increasingly moved towards documentary and observational photography, with an interest in images that go beyond simply showing what a place looks like.

I also work commercially with global photography, travel and technology brands, and my work has been featured and published internationally.
